• Ants

There are many different kinds of ants that are potential pests in one’s home some of these being ghost ants, crazy ants and fire ants. We believe that more important than their identity is the fact that they are removed from the home. Ants are social insects that form colonies that range in size from a few dozen predatory individuals living in small natural cavities to highly organized colonies that may occupy large territories and consist of millions of individuals. These colonies consist of an egg-laying female (queen), short-lived males, and workers (sterile females). The ants you see foraging in your garden or kitchen are workers. Workers that find food communicate with other workers by depositing a chemical message on the substrate as they crawl back to the nest. Although we cannot smell it, this “trail pheromone” sticks to the substrate for long periods of time and helps other ants find the food at the end of the trail. By interrupting these highways the ants have created with ant baits and pesticides and ensuring all cracks and entry points for the ants have been blocked off we can eliminate the ants from the interior of the home. Then our protective barrier around the outside of the home make sure your home stays ant free from that point on.
